About the F/V Patriot
Our safe and seaworthy workhorse
The ‘Patriot’ is a 30′ Armstrong monohull designed and built in Port Angeles, WA. She is powered by 300 Yamaha outboards and cruises at 24 kts to get you to the fishing grounds safe and quickly. It is heavier and more stable than most aluminum boats of her size and handles our Alaskan weather with confidence. Captain Drew has captained the Patriot for 9 seasons, and knows her inside and out.
Captain Drew moved to Alaska in 2012 to chase adventure that brings so many up from the Lower 48. Originally from South Carolina, he moved to Homer in pursuit of the freedom Alaska provides, and definitely on the hunt for some world class fishing. He earned his captain’s license in 2015 after a few years deckhanding and has completed 10 seasons as a captain running fishing and hunting trips in waters stretching from Homer to Kodiak to far out on the Alaska Peninsula.
Capt. Drew lives in Anchor Point with his wife and 2 kids year-round, and can be found salt and freshwater fishing, hunting, playing with his dogs, and planning adventures.
