Our halibut charters include all fishing gear, bait, tackle, and the expertise of a licensed captain. We’ll also clean and fillet your catch so it’s ready for processing or travel.

Most full day salmon and halibut fishing charters last between 8-10 hours. We also offer extended full-day trips for anglers who want more time on the water as well as half day or ¾ day halibut charters.

Yes. Every angler 16 and older must have an Alaska fishing license. You can easily purchase one online before your trip or locally when you arrive or in the Inlet Charters office at the time of departure. Starting 2026, a halibut permit is also required and the office will manage that in the morning as well.

Halibut season typically runs from May through September, with peak fishing in June, July, and August. Salmon runs vary by species but are also strongest during summer.

Our bear viewing adventures occasionally use boats and safe viewing platforms to give you a close, yet secure, experience, depending on the time of year, the bears will be grazing and the pilot/guide will walk with you to view the bears. You’ll be able to observe wild Alaska brown bears in their natural habitat.

We recommend layered clothing, waterproof outerwear, sunglasses, sunscreen, and snacks. Don’t forget your fishing license and a camera to capture the memories!
