 Sea kayaking is the most intimate way of
experiencing the natural wonders of Kachemak Bay. Soaring
bald eagles, playful sea otter pups, seals , sea lions as
well as thousands of nesting sea birds inhabit the
protected waters across the bay. The almost silent travel
of a sea kayak will take you to an undisturbed marine
ecosystem with a minimum of impact on the environment.
All trips originate from the Homer boat harbor and
includes round trip water taxi to Peterson bay where your
adventure begins. Your guide will show you the proper way
of entering as well as the proper technique for paddling
a sea kayak. You will observe first hand the fascinating
natural wonders of Kachemak Bay and you will also have a
chance to explore the vast tide pools along the beach.
All trips are run by knowledgeable experienced guides in
safe stable sea kayaks. Departure time is 8:30 am and
return is 5:00 pm. Half day trips are also available!
