Halibut Fishing, All of our captains are experienced, licensed and insured assuring you a safe comfortable day on the water. Our goal at Inlet Charters is to assist you in catching fish, and most important of all, having fun. The limit for halibut is two per person per day and limit catches are common. The average day of fishing may last eight to ten hours so be prepared for a full day on the water. All your fishing gear and fish cleaning are provided. You will want to bring a lunch, beverage, warm clothes and a State of Alaska fishing license. Inlet Charters has several boats to choose from so we are sure we have just the right one for you. Salmon Fishing, Saltwater salmon fishing in Kachemak Bay produces consistent action year round. King salmon can be caught throughout the year. Silver salmon are present from August 1st through September 15th. These fish are fresh from the open ocean and ready to test your fishing skills. Your catch is expertly netted, bled, dressed and iced immediately upon entering the boat. The salmon trolling boats carry a maximum of either four or six anglers so you are sure to have plenty of room to fish. Each boat is equipped with an enclosed cabin and restroom. The price is $225.00 + tax per person.
Sea Kayaking, No experience necessary, Sea kayaking is the most intimate way of experiencing the natural wonders of Kachemak Bay. All trips originate from the Homer boat harbor and includes round trip water taxi to Peterson Bay where your adventure begins. Your guide will show you the proper way of entering a kayak as well as the proper technique for paddling a sea kayak. All trips are run by knowledgeable experienced guides in safe stable sea kayaks. Departure time is 8:30 a.m. and return is 5:00 p.m. The price is $130.00 and includes all equipment. Half day trips $93.00 plus tax per person.
Brown bear viewing in Katmai National Park. The unforgettable 1.5 hour float plane trip will land you at Katmai for a full day photo safari. Your pilot will stay with you for the entire day and guarantees that you will see bears. Prime bear viewing begins in early June and lasts into September.
